Oli&Carol
Oli&Carol is a young label from Barcelona, founded by sisters Olimpia and Carolina. The two have made it their mission to design modern children's toys from environmentally friendly materials and distribute them internationally.
The two of them started out young. Carolina was just 16 and in school, Olimpia 21 and studying, when they had the idea for MORE THAN TOYS. They come from a family of company founders and business people, but wanted to steer this entrepreneurial drive in an ecological direction. They love nature and modern designs. This is how the idea of making toys for children on an ecological basis came about.
Babies and toddlers want to put just about anything in their mouths. Touching and feeling with their lips and mouths is one of the earliest sensory experiences for little ones. However, most children's toys today are made of plastic. Oli&Carol's toys and teethers, on the other hand, are made of environmentally friendly materials that are hygienic, soft and harmless to children. The young label sells children's toys made from natural rubber, the rubber of nature. The toys include rubber ducks and bath toys, teething rings and teethers. The designs from MORE THAN TOYS are colorful, bright or in pastel colors, showing handmade animal figures, various fruits and vegetables, cars, ships and grasping balls. They are often inspired by the look of the 60s and 70s.
Oli&Carol sets itself high ecological standards. In addition, their toys are completely harmless for children. They are made of 100% biodegradable rubber tree latex and only use non-toxic and baby-safe food colors. So no PVC, BPA, phthalates or other environmentally harmful substances. Bureau Veritas, an international certification company, has certified Oli&Carol's toys as environmentally friendly and non-toxic. In addition, the toys are made from one piece and without holes, so bacteria, mold and dirt cannot get a hold. So the baby can safely chew on them and parents have one less thing to worry about.
The two Oli&Carol sisters see themselves as role models and want to encourage other young people to implement their own business ideas. They not only appeal to people's ecological conscience, but social aspects are also important to them. With every toy sold, they support a school project for Indian children. Furthermore, they are committed to the protection and preservation of coral reefs, which is why they support the “We The Reef” program.
