Bola sound balls: Traditional jewellery for pregnant women and beyond
Bola beads are not just a piece of jewellery for the mother-to-be. They are an old tradition from Indonesia and are also worn after pregnancy. There is a wide range of different colours and shapes. No two balls sound the same, each one is unique.
From around the 20th week of pregnancy, the baby perceives the soothing sound of the bola ball. The newborn baby remembers the sound and can be soothed with it even after birth. The ball is worn on the lower abdomen.
Also wear the jewellery while breastfeeding. Your baby can see, hear and touch the ball while drinking and is thus distracted from all that is going on around it.
