HANSEKIND - From the idea to implementation

The company HANSEKIND was founded in 2003 by Constanze Samson after she had given birth to her first child a year earlier. In search of high quality and fairly produced baby clothes, she decided to start a children's label for fairly produced baby products. At that time, these kinds of products were not yet widespread and therefore difficult to find.

Constanze also attached importance to a traceable production process. This should take place in Europe and not in Asia. She started with the local production of the cute Nordic-maritime inspired clothes and subsequently opened an online shop. Not long after, she was already visiting wholesale fairs and reselling her fair slow fashion to intermediaries.

HANSEKIND - Grow, my little darling

The company gained notoriety. Successes as well as setbacks marked the path of Constanze and her label for children's outfits. Products from the eco-friendly brand can also be purchased at airports and on cruises, so that little Hansekinder is now represented worldwide and their numbers are constantly growing.

The German brand remains true to its roots and yet is growing beyond itself. Inspiration for beautiful articles regularly arises from cooperation and contact with other parents and families, which is why Constanze Samson, together with her company HANSEKIND, continues to gain momentum in development.

Fair Slow Fashion for the little ones

Quality clothing has many advantages - for the environment, but also for the people who wear it. Babies and children in particular can benefit from wearing high-quality clothing, as they have more sensitive skin than adults.
Only materials that meet certain standards are used in the production of Hanseatic children's outfits. All the fabrics used for the clothes have been tested according to Oeko Tex Standard 100 and have been awarded the certificate of the same name.

Many products are made from renewable raw materials such as pure cotton.
Another advantage of Fair Slow Fashion is that the items are more robust and durable due to their quality. They can therefore be used more often and passed on to friends or sold on. In this way, the sustainable items for babies and children not only protect the environment, but also the wallet.

Environmentally friendly children's outfits from HANSEKIND

The production of the hanseatic, fairly produced baby products puts a special focus on protecting the environment. Suppliers are also checked with this in mind. Only companies that are transparent and trustworthy can work with HANSEKIND. Most of the suppliers already benefit from a long-term cooperation.

With the help of local production, long transport routes and supply chains are avoided, which also speaks for more sustainability. It also facilitates the company structure, because organisation and changes can take place at short notice. At the same time, a responsible corporate culture promotes the satisfaction of the employees as well as that of the customers - whether parents or children.
