Fluid balance in children: Correct dosage for healthy hydration

Drinking is not only important for mum and dad, but also for children.
We adults should drink about 2.5 litres of water every day. For children it is less. Children from the age of 1-3 should drink about 600-800 ml a day. Besides water, your child can also drink tea or fruit juice.
Smoothies are also considered a drink and are rich in vitamins.
The little body does not move very much in the beginning, but as soon as your angel starts to crawl or walk, the body produces sweat, which must be replaced by drinking in order to keep the little body hydrated.
Too little fluid is harmful, but too much fluid can also be harmful. Therefore, you should only give your child as much to drink as is prescribed for his or her age.
