About Child Car Seat Group 1-2-3
Car seats that overlap groups offer a longer service life.
Ideal as a second seat or for users such as grandparents who often have children of different sizes travelling with them. In group 1, the seat protects either with a safety cushion or a 5-point harness. Seats with a safety cushion protect your child from neck injuries and cushion the impact. In addition, your child has more freedom of movement in the shoulder area.
Children who do not like to be strapped in tightly welcome this option. The seats can be fitted with Isofix or with the seat belt only. If you use the seat without Isofix, please remember to buckle the seat without the child.
Child seats without a safety harness can also be fitted with or without Isofix, depending on the model. Please refer to the installation instructions, some require an additional belt (top tether).
Both versions have a height-adjustable backrest that grows with the child. When your child has reached approx. 18 kg, the seat can easily be converted to a group 2/3 car seat. In this group, the child is only strapped in with the vehicle's seat belt.
-Not only the weight, but also the height are decisive for safety here.
